The Genealogy Fair opens at 9:30 a.m., but at 8:30 this morning we already had visitors at the information table!
This photograph inside the entrance tent was taken yesterday, and hopefully we’ll have even more people today. There’s some great lectures lined up for today (http://go.usa.gov/mHN).
But what if you don’t live near the Washington, DC, area? The National Archives has facilities across the country: check our nationwide listings for genealogy programs near you (http://go.usa.gov/yj7) Who are you hunting on your family tree right now?

Our 8th Annual Genealogy Fair started today, and despite the rain, it’s nice and dry under our tents! We hope we see you tomorrow for another day of lectures, book signings, and talking with vendors. For a full schedule of events, see our webpage: http://go.usa.gov/mHN

All day long we’ve been listening to metallic clinks and bangs! The 2012 Genealogy Fair starts on Wednesday, and the tents are being assembled just outside the main entrance. As always, it’s free. This year we have three classrooms for lectures, food trucks in the side parking lot, a “Help! I’m Stuck” booth staffed by our archivists, and lots of great vendors. For a list of speakers, topics, and times, visit our Genealogy Fair homepage: http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/know-your-records/genealogy-fair/.

Last year, this was our view of the Genealogy Fair being set up!
This year, almost the entire Genealogy Fair will be outside, including three large classrooms for lectures.
You won’t even need to go far for lunch—this year, we’ve got several food trucks that will be parked on our property for your lunch break!
We’ll see you on April 18 and 19!
