Often called “one of the most courageous persons the Civil Rights Movement ever produced,” John Lewis has dedicated his life to protecting human rights and securing civil liberties.
On Thursday, June 6, at 7 p.m., NPR correspondent and Peabody Award winner Scott Simon talks with Lewis about his service to the nation. Congressman Lewis will sign copies of the commemorative edition of the Emancipation Proclamation. Seating will be limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
